Key stat: 112,729,484 persons (PSA POPCEN 2024 reference stock)
Every market model needs a headcount. Ours starts with the Philippine Statistics Authority.
In May 2020, the census counted 109,035,343 people. By July 2024, the PSA reference stock used in our priors is 112,729,484. That is roughly 3.7 million more Filipinos in four years — more households, more workers, more consumers, and more pressure on jobs and services.
For simulation and content, we lock 112.7M as the national person stock unless a newer official figure replaces it. We do not invent "about 115 million" from social media.
Why this matters for daily business reading: ads, store traffic, and labor availability all scale with people. If your mental model still says "100 million," you are already behind the official spine.
